Robert Rusto receives prestigious Woodman Award
East Fishkill has barn fire
Rob Ruston, Recording Secretary
of our association, receives the
Woodman Award for Fire-Police
Excellence at the 2009 Annual
Convention of the State Fire Police
Association.
Rob has been involved with state and local associations for many years
and has made significant contributions
to the growth of Fire-Police recog-
nition within our communities.
He continues to devote much of his
spare time to VFPADC and to
VFPASNY.
Well done, Rob!
Fire Departments from all over Dutchess County and some from Northern Putnam
were involved either directly - fighting the fire, relaying water, etc, or indirectly -backfilling vacant fire-districts with apparatus and personnel. Although the barn could not be saved,
there were no casualties, and the surrounding structures were protected.
